Senior Saints Cruise
September 12, 2026 – September 19, 2026
Refreshment and fellowship through a sight-seeing adventure with BFC Senior Saints

What You'll Do
7-DAY CANADA AND NEW ENGLAND ROUND TRIP
Day One - New York City Departure
Depending on your home location and preference, you can drive directly to the Cruise Port OR take the no-hassle, safest way from Allentown to the New York port in the comfort of a Trans-Bridge bus. Don’t worry about your baggage, high cost of parking, or the nightmare of NY traffic. For a fee far less than the cost of parking, tolls, gas and hassle, the round trip bus designated just for our group will get you there relaxed and ready to go.
Bon Voyage!
Day Two - Newport, Rhode Island
Get a taste of the Golden Age by visiting the Vanderbilt’s opulent “summer cottage” known as The Breakers with its 50’ high Great Hall ceiling and peak into a few of the 48 bedrooms. And that’s just one of the mansions you’ll see along the harbor at Newport (entrance fee for mansions tour.) At no cost you can enjoy the beauty of the Mansions from the historic cliff walk along the harbor. What a view!
Day Three - Boston, Massachusetts
The city of our founding fathers, Boston is packed full of history, beauty, shopping, and memories. From Paul Revere’s North Church to Quincy Market, the Boston Tea Party Museum to Old Ironsides, even the most beautiful wildlife carousel you’ll ever see, Boston is the place to be. Take the harbor walk or follow the patriot’s trail and enjoy a full day in Boston.
Day Four - Portland, Maine
A great city to explore, Portland is worth visiting. Be sure to take an Uber or taxi to visit the most picturesque and memorable building in this harbor city, “Portland Head Lighthouse.”
Day Five -Saint John, New Brunswick
The Bay of Fundy boasts the highest and lowest tides in North America. Arrange for an excursion to quaint villages and rocky, pine covered cliffs and unforgettable views. If it’s a drizzly day, walk from the ship to the City Market, an indoor mall that goes on for several blocks with antiques, coffee, fashion, and fresh picked veggies all in a comfortable environment. Stop by Fort Howe or catch a glimpse of the Reversing Falls on the harbor walk.
Day Six - Halifax, Nova Scotia
If you’ve not been to Halifax, you’re in for a treat. Explore the city if you like or just spend time on the harbor walk for art galleries, a view of the fort and lighthouse just off shore. Tour a vintage sailing ship or grab an ice cream cone as you walk. Take the ferry for a few dollars and visit the other side of the harbor or take the tour of Georges Island with its underground fort and amazing views. Don’t miss the “Tidal Beacon,” an amazing architectural sculpture that reflects the high and low tides in its skyscraper like glass by the Queens Staircase. Pay for an excursion to the picturesque Peggy’s Cove, one of the Maritime Provinces most beautiful villages.
Day Seven - At Sea
Unwind on board after your busy week. Whether you do nothing or take advantage of ship activities, this last sea day is a super time to relax.
Day Eight - New York City Return
Enjoy a last breakfast and follow the simple directions to depart. The Trans-Bridge Bus will be ready to bring you back to the Lehigh Valley.

Fellowship Time
And when you're on board...

Devotional Time
We’ll begin each day with worship and devotions in our own private room just for our group. Pastor Bill Schlonecker and his wife Mindy will encourage us in the Word as we fellowship with other BFC brothers and sisters. What a great way to start the day! Details are still being arranged.

Dining
With three main dining rooms, plenty of specialty dining spots, and several fun spots like a 50’s Diner and outdoor eating options, your only challenge will be eating too much! We’re seeking to arrange seating areas each evening just for our group. Enjoy.

Activities
On a large ship like the Escape there are shows, bars, casinos, and parties that aren’t of much interest to our group, but don’t be overwhelmed with the crowds. Instead, when you’re not exploring the New England and Canadian beauty, we urge you to take advantage of the on board activities that range from shopping and trivia to a large fitness room, library, game room, music, mini-golf and even bowling! Swim or relax by the pools, try out one of the many hot tubs, or get adventurous and enjoy the water park with its tangled tubes for all to enjoy. You’ll want to at least observe (if not participate!) in the amazing ropes course and zip line that includes “walking the plank” over the ship’s edge. Go ahead! Give it a try!
